Infrastructure

The fundamental objective of Excellence is to create and sustain an environment in which children can learn, explore and discover themselves and the world around them. We attempt to achieve this by providing the three vital components in shaping the child - Values, Knowledge and Vision.

1. Library
2. Audio Visual
3. Laboratories
4. Music
5. Art
6. Computer Labs
7. Use Of Technology.

Library

Our library has two primary functions:
· The first is to support the reading programmes in our Schools. Up to XII, reading guidance and instruction are required and librarians are taught how to assist in this process.
The second primary function is to provide reading material to support the curriculum. Our Library is equipped with Latest Model Computers and Internet facility to provide the students up-to-date information.

Audio Visual

Television, video, audio-tape machines, overhead projectors and library listening posts are used variously with excellent results. The need to develop listening skills is essential for reading advancement and for the retention of study information which is such a primary part of learning at all levels.

Laboratories

EES is proud of its well-equipped laboratories, which facilitate the practical experiments necessary for the general science curriculum. Up-to-date apparatus is supplied, giving pupils every possible advantage and ample opportunity to experiment.
Children in higher Classes enjoy the broader opportunities offered by simple laboratory experiments and make rapid progress in learning the tables and symbols related to their science syllabi. Science Open Days provide exciting opportunities for students to display their growing knowledge to parents and other visitors to the School.

Music

Music is an essential part of the curriculum. Students learn to sing, recite rhythmic poems, play various instruments and in the more advanced classes, some even compose their own melodies. Small children quickly learn counting and movement related songs, which rapidly improve their skills in these areas.

Art

Art is one of the most popular classes in any school and our students have demonstrated outstanding creativity in this field. Pottery, jewellery-making drawing, painting, model-making and needlework are taught in the various art classes.

Computer Labs

EES computer labs are equipped with latest models of Pentium computers.

Use Of Technology

In the world of the 21st Century we are constantly bombarded with a million times more information than our ancestors ever conceived of and the Internet is both a blessing and a curse. Relevant technology with appropriate teacher guidance can help us to separate the gold from the dross.
The flexibility of the Pathways building design is complemented by Information Age technology, which is the servant of the student, the teacher and curriculum. The computer is viewed as a tool rather than an end in itself. The school has a minimum of hard-wired or desktop computers and all Secondary School students have laptops. This flexibility is particularly valuable within the classroom or laboratory where seating plans and furniture distribution change constantly to reflect the multiple needs of the curriculum. The school server maintains a broadband connection throughout the 365 days of the year, giving each student continuous (monitored) access via the school’s intranet to the resources of the Internet. The essence of Anywhere-Anytime learning is that it is exactly what it says it is. Information can be accessed out of class hours and questions arising can be referred to the teacher when appropriate. Our reporting system will be computerised and parents will be able to track their children’s progress on the Internet.
